Born in France to a Dutch father and French mother, Arnaud left his native country early on to travel the world, oscillating between East and West. After nearly five years in Tokyo and Shanghai, he is currently based in Paris. More inspired among his predecessors by Erasmus than Napoleon, he took the time to pick up a few languages including English, German, Japanese, and some Mandarin Chinese. He received a degree in finance from Northeastern University, which he ties to a tree branch like Japanese prayer paper every time he goes into production.
Arnaud has film and video experience in Asia and Europe. In addition to directing several shorts and promotional videos, he produced and starred in Burial of the Rats, an independent feature film shot on location in Tokyo. He directed the documentary shorts Driver Zhou and Fusing Tones and directed photography for Holdem China as well as the short film Hukou. His feature film script, The Calling, is currently in development.
He has done video work for clients including General Motors, Weber Shandwick, ArvinMeritor, Shanghai Weekly, Touch Media, Shanghaiist.com, and Club G Plus. He recently traveled across China working as a camera operator for The Amazing Race: China Rush, airing summer 2010 on ICS and CCTV9.
Arnaud is an experienced user of Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro.
